BGB Yachts purchases right to produce DL Yachts

SYT’s Francesca Webster caught up with the team of the newly founded BGB Group during their exhibition in Cannes. BGB yachts has just purchased rights, projects and moulds to produce the Dreamline Yachts, the well established shipyard building custom yachts just outside of Ancona in Italy. The new company will continue to build Dreamline vessels at the original site, but now combining the expertise of the BGB team and the history of Dreamline to continue the story of the well respected company.Manikim yacht anchored at nightThe owner of BGB, Loris Požar, has had a long history with Dreamline, having owned a DL yacht himself in the past, he decided to pursue the acquisition of Dreamline as a demonstration of his confidence, love, and affinity towards the brand.Sunsea Italian Yacht shipyardCurrently exhibiting at the show in Cannes is the 28-metre motor yacht Manikim, which has been designed in tandem with Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design, who will continue to design the line of BGB vessels.Manikim yacht owner's stateroomManikim yacht saloonManikim, which is the flagship vessel of the newly formed group is a light filled yacht, characterised by the marble and mirrored surfaces which fill the vessel. Large expanses of glass have been used throughout the vessel, flooding the internal volumes with light.Manikim yacht owner's stateroomManikim yacht galleyGobbi and his team has already designed a now sold 35-metre hull, the keel of which has been laid in Ancona and is due for a January 2023 delivery date. The team inferred that its vessels may continue to increase toward the 45-metre mark as the Group expands and solidifies its position within the custom yacht category. Sunsea Italian Yacht shipyard
