Bilgin’s new 80m motor yacht Tatiana on sea trials

As Bilgin Yachts draws ever closer to delivering its flagship 80-metre motor yacht Tatiana, the yard and its project team has been busy over the past week conducting sea trials in the waters of Istanbul with the new vessel. Code named NB75, Tatiana was launched in February and is expected to be delivered to her owner in the summer.Tatiana yacht on sea trialsPhoto: Bilgin Yachts

The project is one of three 80-metre Bilgin 263 superyachts currently being built by the Turkish yard, with the remaining two units expected in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Designed by Unique Yacht Design, Tatiana is built in accordance with the latest IMO Tier III standards and comes fitted with a special exhaust system that provides “100% clean air emissions” according to her builder. During her recent sea trials, the vessel achieved a top speed of 19 knots and cruises at 12 knots with a consumption of 250 l/h.Tatiana yacht on sea trialsPhoto: Bilgin Yachts

“With her design and comfort elements, the Bilgin 263 is truly one of a kind,” commented Emrecan Özgü of Unique Yacht Design. “We created a very attractive yacht with a sleek and sexy profile while avoiding a high dosage of design clichés. The increase in living areas normally results in bulky designs.”Tatiana yacht on sea trialsPhoto: Bilgin Yachts

The interior design of the project is by long-time Bilgin design partner H2 Yacht Design from the UK who created ‘glamorous living areas’ around the vessel and a highly-detailed design. “Tatiana has a contemporary layout with generous living rooms as well as a huge spa and beach club in the aft which are considered highlights of her design,” explained Jonny Horsfield “We tried to bring a crisp and contemporary feel by using a rich palette of colours.”Tatiana yacht on sea trialsPhoto: Bilgin Yachts

Meanwhile, Bilgin Yachts will get underway with construction of an even bigger, 85-metre project in May which will be ready for delivery in 2023 while an on-spec 74-metre and a sub-500 GT 50-metre motor yacht will be ready for completion in 2022.
