Brill Maritime, operating as Export Yacht Sales, is the named plaintiff in the case and argues that Boats Group controls approximately 75 percent of the market for listing and marketing recreational boats.According to Export Yacht Sales, competing platforms have been unable to achieve the scale or inventory to grow their services effectively, leaving brokers and dealers with limited options. For non-VAT-paid yachts, charters can currently only commence in Greek, Monaco or French waters. Yacht Solutions Europe’s statement of affairs also revealed that an estimated £608,522 will end up being unpaid.Steve Henson, Managing Director at Devon’s Castle Hill Insolvency, has been appointed joint-liquidator.
