What is on offer?
Giriz II is a unique Dutch classic long range motor sailing yacht designed by the renowned Rudi van den Akker. The veteran of 19 transatlantic crossings, Giriz II sleeps six guests in a luxurious full beam master suite and two twin cabins, all with en suite facilities. A comfortable raised main saloon has an L-shaped seating area, bar and dining for six guests. Without a doubt she is a unique and comfortable motor sailor concept with great, classic lines.
Giriz II has also welcomed many famous entrepreneurs and Hall of Fame artists on board, including Fritz Loewe (composer My Fair Lady), Frank Sinatra, Amsterdam born Kirk Douglas and father of Michael Douglas, author Harold Robbins, actor Rex Harrison and film studio magnates, the Warner brothers.
Why do we think this is such a great deal?
After her delivery in 1964 and many years of fine sailing by her owners of 26 years, Giriz II undertook a major refit in 2001. The refit included total rewiring and installation of a bow thruster plus refurbished generators, electronics and air conditioning, as well as a new paint job to the hull, deck and rigs and interior improvements. The refit has retained the same 60s charm of the unique vessel, making Giriz II a beautifully seaworthy boat that is full of character.
