In this series of articles, we take a look at the best brokerage deals currently on the market, as judged by our very own editors. What, Why, Where and Who will form the basis of the articles. This week, we have taken a closer look at the 29.5 metre superyacht, Alaska.
What is on offer?
Alaska is a Moonen 97 model that was built in 2012. Her naval architecture is the product of Diana Yacht Design B.V., with exteriors by Rene van der Velden Yacht Design. Her interior was designed by Art Line, and boasts a beautiful modern interior in light cherry wood.
She accommodates up to eight guests over four cabins, a luxurious full beam master suite, a VIP stateroom and two guest cabins. She has a maximum speed of 13 knots, with a cruising speed of 12 knots. She has a range of 4,000 nm at 9 knots.
Why do we think this is such a great deal?
Alaska is the fourth yacht in the award-winning Moonen range of steel-hulled displacement cruisers. Built by the yard on spec, the Moonen 97 has been continuously snapped up by owners, recognising the yacht's distinctive blend of premium Dutch quality, the latest technologies, exceptional comfort and an industry-leading price/performance ratio.
In the year she was launched, she was nominated as a finalist for the ISS power 24-40 metre award. Several of her sister ships have also been nominated for various awards, including the Moonen 97, Darsea, which was a World Superyacht Award 2009 finalist in the category of “Best Displacement Motor Yacht Of Below 500GT (Approx. 30 metre to 49 metre).” Her variety of awards and recognition in the industry stands tribute to the quality and popularity of the vessel.
Where is she right now?
Alaska is currently located in Palma de Mallorca.
