Brokerage deal of the week: Superyacht Northlander

In this series of articles, we take a look at the best brokerage deals currently on the market, as judged by our very own editors. What, Why, Where and Who will form the basis of the articles. This week, we have taken a closer look at the 38.16 metre superyacht, Northlander.

What is on offer?

Built by Moonen Yachts in 2009, and delivered in 2010, the Moonen Northlander is a pedigree Dutch build, tremendous volume for LOA evidenced by her 423 Gross Registered Tons (GRT), in-class Lloyds, MCA, zero speed stabilized, unprecedented achievement in quiet operation, multiple industry award winning vessel, with a highly motivated Seller.

Why do we think this is such a great deal?

She is the winner of the 2010 International Superyacht Society's Award for “Best Power 24 to 40m” and Finalist at the 2010 Showboats Design Awards for both "Best Naval Architecture” and “Best Recreational Area”. She is also one of the quietest running motor yachts on the market, with decibel levels registering just 44 dB.

Northlander has many features that are attractive to owners, captains, and crew, which make the yacht an ideal platform for charter as well as private use. She has had only one owner since new, and is currently being presented in immaculate condition.

Her beautifully designed interior by the world-renowned Art Line offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in five staterooms including a main deck master suite and a further two doubles and two twins on the lower deck, ideal for families and groups of friends. Throughout her living areas, a luxurious tropical feel is brought to life with the use of cherry joinery and striking Oriental touches of intricately woven bamboo, leather detailing and wooden floors.

Among her many features are a large sun deck with a Jacuzzi and wet bar, and a 19' 6" jet tender that's launched from the garage. The yacht's central feature, literally, is its central staircase running from the accommodations deck to the sun deck. It is encompassed by a mirrored atrium, and topped by an opening skylight that gives access to the sun deck. Equally important, it allows a column of daylight to brightly fill the yacht's heart.

Powered by 2 MTU 16V2000 M60 1072hp engines, she has a maximum speed of 13 knots, a cruising speed of 11 knots. She has a range of 5600 miles at 11 knots.

Where is she right now?

Northlander is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
