In this series of articles, we take a look at the best brokerage deals currently on the market, as judged by our very own editors. What, Why, Where and Who will form the basis of the articles. This week, we have taken a closer look at the 39.95m J-Class superyacht Rainbow.
What is on offer?
Built by the Dutch shipyard Holland Jachtbouw in 2012, Rainbow is a high quality sloop featuring naval architecture and exterior design by the renowned Dykstra Naval Architects.
Her interiors were undertaken by deVosdeVries Design, and feature mahogany panelling throughout giving her a rich, classic feel. She accommodates up to 8 guests in luxury and comfort over three cabins; a full beam master suite located aft, as well as two twin cabins, each with an additional Pullman berth and en suite facilities. Up to 7 crew are also accommodated for on board.
The rig includes a Southern Spars high-modulus carbon mast, boom and spinnaker pole, continuous carbon fibre rigging, North Sails 3Di racing sails and Lewmar high-speed hydraulic winches. She has a jet black-coloured hull and gold leaf cove stripe.
Why do we think this is such a great deal?
This 39.95 metre J-class yacht was based upon the lines by Frank Paine of the original America’s Cup winner in 1934, and has been built in aluminium with many modern updates.
She has been used to successfully compete in several high profile regattas since her delivery with some impressive results. She features a unique hybrid propulsion and power system inside a racing boat hull, and is topped off with a grand prix racing deck and rig.
Where is she right now?
Rainbow is currently located in the Caribbean.
Who to call?
The yacht is listed for sale by Hoek Brokerage at an asking price of €10,450,000.
