Brokerage Deal of the Week: the 40m Sunseeker Tanvas

Here we take a look at the What, Why, Where and Who of some of the best brokerage deals currently on the market. This week we explore the 40-metre motor yacht Tanvas who is listed for sale with Northrop & Johnson.Tanvas cruising Photo: Northrop & JohnsonWhat is on offer?

Built by British yard Sunseeker in 2010, Tanvas was once the yard’s flagship. Tanvas stateroom Photo: Northrop & JohnsonWith her naval architecture, exteriors and interiors all designed in-house by Sunseeker International, Tanvas can accommodate 12 guests across six cabins and nine crew members. Potential owners will be delighted to find her full beam master suite features a hydraulic door that opens for fresh, private, open-air access. Unique among her features, her sixth cabin can be transformed into either a captain's cabin or a VIP guest cabin with upper-deck access, as Tanvas’s dynamism continues throughout her layout. Her remaining four cabins are located on the lower deck and are accessible via a dedicated foyer.

Tanvas is powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 M93 engines which allow her a top speed of 25 knots at full power. At a cruising speed of 10 to 12 knots, Tanvas has a 4500 nm range which makes her truly a ‘world-cruiser’. Bow and stern thrusters give the yacht, whose hull is constructed from GRP, greater manoeuvrability while at sea and in the marina. Additionally, she is RINA classed and LY2 compliant. In 2011, Tanvas was a finalist in the World Superyacht Awards for ‘Best Tri-deck Semi-displacement or Planing Motor Yacht’. While the year 2011 has come and gone, what makes Tanvas a truly stunning yacht and worthy of distinction, remains. One of the first things guests, and her new owners alike, will discover aboard Tanvas are her marbles, exotic woods, and leathers which lend an air of opulence while at sea. In her main saloon, guests will find one of two balconies, both of which offer unparalleled sea views and fresh air. Additionally, guests can select for al fresco dining on the upper deck terrace, or have a barbeque at the dedicated Teppanyaki bar on the sky deck.Tanvas deck Photo: Northrop & JohnsonFrom her sundeck, where guests will be delighted to find a jacuzzi, to her swim platform, where underwater lights make late-night swimming dreams into reality, are teak decks.
