Brokerage Deal of the Week: the 50m explorer superyacht I Nova

Here we take a look at the What, Why, Where and Who of some of the best brokerage deals currently on the market. This week we tour the 49.75-metre explorer superyacht I Nova, currently listed for sale with IYC.

What is on offer?

Built by Cosmo Explorer and completed in 2013, the 49.75-metre superyacht I Nova features interior and exterior designs from the drawing boards of the renowned studio Cristiano Gatto Design. Vripack and Van Oossanen Naval Architects collaborated with the yard on her naval architecture and engineering. 

Using a wide palette of luxurious materials including 30,000-year-old Kauri wood in the dining area, Gatto created a comfortable, yet modern and sophisticated atmosphere on board I Nova which accommodates up to 14 guests over six cabins. With the interior volume and exterior spaces of a 60m yacht, I Nova combines a volume of 746 GT, luxury and comfort with the impeccable Dutch quality and engineering required from a true world cruiser.    

Twin MTU 1,408hp 16V 2000 M70 engines give I Nova a top speed of 15.6 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, with an impressive range of 5,500 nm at 12 knots. With her 5 year class renewed, the 49.75-metre superyacht is also ABS classified, MCA Compliant and sports an Ice Class D0 hull. 

Why do we think this is such a great deal?

With her generous volume and smart layout, I Nova stands out for her capability to carry a wide selection of toys and tenders. On board, she features a 5 tonne / 9-metre crane on her tender deck which is currently carrying a 10-metre, 50-knot enclosed Buzzi and an 8.5 metre Scorpion RIB.

Maintained in immaculate condition since her delivery, I Nova was given a full new hull paint job in 2016 and will be delivered in turnkey condition. Other highlights on board I Nova include her custom dive centre and her observation deck complete with jacuzzi dip pool and gym equipment. 

In addition, I Nova also boasts a large fold down bathing platform and a skylit beach club complete with hammam. For Gatto's stunning design, I Nova was the 2014 Showboats Design Awards winner for Best Interior and a finalist in the Best Exterior Design category.
