Sold: 40m Brooke Marine yacht Scout II

The 39.6-metre Brook Marine motor yacht Scout II sold in a deal with James McMaster of McMaster Yachts representing the buyer and Stuart Larsen of Fraser standing in for the seller during the negotiations. Scout II was delivered in 1993 from the United Kingdom and was designed to be a hardy oceangoing exploration yacht with global cruising in mind and has only been used privately since her delivery. Photo: George SchneiderScout II is one of the first purpose-built exploration yachts with naval architecture by Burness Corlett- Three Quays and both exterior and interior styling by the renowned superyacht designer Terence Disdale Design. She  underwent several multi-million-dollar upgrades over the past four years with some interior fabrics and furnishings replaced, while still maintaining the original Disdale style and blue and white color-scheme.Photo: FraserPhoto: FraserPhoto: FraserScout II is able to sleep up to nine guests across four large staterooms including an owner's stateroom with queen bed, one VIP stateroom with a queen bed, one guest stateroom with a queen bed and one with a double and single bed. Photo: FraserIn terms of her performance, twin Caterpillar 3408TA diesel 507 horsepower engines enable Scout II to top out at 11 knots and cruise comfortably at 10 knots. She had a last known asking price of $9.900,000.
