Burger Announces the Delivery of Areti II

Burger Boat Company, one of the world’s most historic and prestigious shipyards, delivered Areti II to her owner the morning of December 21, 2007. She will now join her sister, Areti I in St. Augustine, Florida until March of 2008 when Areti II will travel to the Mediterranean.

Areti II is the second of two identical 127' (38.7m) tri-deck yachts completed this year. These two identical yachts are owned by a young Russian industrialist who has chosen to build two identical yachts due to business interests that divide his time almost equally between Russia/Europe and the U.S. This will give him constant access to his yachts in both regions to enjoy quiet family time and to entertain business associates.

The Areti exteriors are classically styled with traditionally designed interiors featuring recessed paneled Makoré and wonderful fluted column details throughout. The interiors, designed by the Burger Design Team, are distinctively styled with a simple, uncluttered elegance combining soothing tones of cream, rust and brown. Configured with a main deck level master suite, four large guest staterooms below decks and a lower deck sauna, Areti I and Areti II are built to ABS ✠A1 Commercial Yachting Service AMS Certification and in compliance with MCA Code of Practice for Safety of Large Commercial Sailing and Motor Vessels. Each vessel is powered by Caterpillar engines. Areti I and Areti II have zerospeed stabilization and full “glass bridge” navigation electronic systems among numerous other technical attributes.

Areti I is based in the U.S. for cruising the Eastern Seaboard, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Areti II will be based in Europe for cruising the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Aegean Seas and the Balkans. The concept of two identical yachts is really quite practical for an owner splitting his time between Europe and the U.S. Why cross the Atlantic if you really don’t have to?
