Ancona shipyard Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has announced the sale of the explorer yacht project Acciaio 118. The project was secured in partnership by Konstantin Kolapkov and Richard Kaye from Arcon Yachts, who introduced the owner to the shipyard. As the team from Arcon Yachts are also overseeing the build of the first Acciaio project, the 105’, they will be acting as build representatives on the 118’ project as well.
The new 118’ is designed by Hydrotec as a strong and robust explorer to be built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. The hull design is said to offer not only class-leading fuel efficiency but also a noiseless cruise and extreme guest comfort. Her volume measures a hefty 350 GT.
Her customisable interior offers six guest cabins spread across three guest decks. A large media room/sky lounge is located on the upper deck that open up to a large alfresco dining area outside.
The yacht is scheduled for delivery in early 2019.
