Along with the recent announcement of a new line of explorer yachts designed to target experienced cruising owners, Cantiere delle Marche unveiled more details about its latest new-build project which forms part of the so-called Flexplorer range. Project Aurelia measures 39.3 metres in length and is on track for a 2020 delivery.Aurelia 29 explorer yacht by Cantiere delle Marche

Working together with designer Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec, Aurelia stands out from any vessel the shipyard has worked on before. As one of their largest projects to date, Aureliaโ€™s design is elegant and more refined than her Darwin sisters, yet comes with the signature robust look CDM is known for thanks to her high freeboard, near vertical bow and angled wheelhouse. As standard, Aurelia will be fitted with low-maintenance and reliable systems to complement her rugged and autonomous nature.ย Aurelia 29 explorer yacht by Cantiere delle Marche

On deck, CDM has opted for an A-frame crane which is placed at the stern of the vessel and will be able to lift up to 2,5 tonnes, perfect for expedition-style tenders and larger water toys. With all tenders and toys deployed, the aft deck can be transformed into a giant 115-square-metre entertainment space with both bulwarks able to fold down for a true seaside experience. Skylights in the deck filter natural light into the fully-equipped gym on the lower deck below.ย Aurelia 29 explorer yacht by Cantiere delle MarcheAurelia 29 explorer yacht by Cantiere delle Marche

In terms of its cruising capabilities, Aurelia comfortably outperforms similar vessels in her class, boasting an impressive 5,000 nm cruising range at 8.5 knots and capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots through the use of the twin Caterpillar C32 engines.ย Aurelia 29 explorer yacht by Cantiere delle Marche
