The Cape Charles Yacht Centre is currently under development as it expands into a service facility offering superyacht refits. With operations controlled by industry professionals JB Turner and Nicole Jacques, the Virginia-based centre will include a 30,000-square foot facility, floating docks and a 600-ton mobile hoist. Turner, founder, president and general manager of Front Street Shipyard in Maine comments, “We identified Cape Charles Yacht Centre as an ideal location for superyacht services because it’s central for vessels travelling along the East Coast between New England and Florida,”
“For years we’ve encouraged our customers at Front Street Shipyard to stop at Cape Charles when travelling south, and their feedback has been very positive about the location, quality of service, and amenities.”The Cape Charles Yacht Centre remains in full operation during this expansion period.“We intend to maintain Cape Charles Yacht Center’s great reputation for service among their existing customers throughout the Chesapeake Bay,” said Jacques, marketing manager of Front Street Shipyard. “Our first initiative is to grow the yard’s talented workforce and equip them with more modern equipment so we can attract additional international vessels seeking service and major refits.”
