Floating Life Charter & Brokerage has selected Italian yachtbuilder CCN to construct a new 40-metre expedition superyacht. Construction on the first K40 in the Fuoriserie yacht line is to commence sometime this month, and will ultimately be delivered to an American owner.
The design brief was for a yacht under 500 gross tons, reliable and easy to manage, with a limited number of crew and simple maintenance procedures. Designed with long-range cruises across the Mediterranean and beyond in mind, the yacht will be constructed with a reinforced ‘Light Ice’ class steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and will have a three-deck layout.
Designed by Studio Sculli and developed by the naval architects at Vannini-Oleggini, the yacht will feature a bright and functional interior to match her long-range capabilities. Some of the onboard amenities include an owners-only deck, large galley and food storage spaces, beach club with movie theatre, and a fully-equipped bar area on the sundeck.
CCN’s CEO Diego Michele Deprati:"I am delighted with Floating Life Charter & Brokerage’s decision to choose us among many international boat builders. This new challenge will allow us to prove once more our expertise in the construction of megayachts as well as our shipyard’s flexibility and unmatched quality: this is indeed a fully-custom project implying painstaking studies and a high level of know-how”.
