Not only is the SuperYacht Times Party the perfect opportunity to celebrate a busy and successful show season while taking some time out during METSTRADE, industry professionals are invited to join Amels for a special evening celebrating their centennial anniversary.
As the main sponsors for this year’s SuperYacht Times Party, Amels is proud to introduce the ‘love our oceans’ motto. “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s party in Amsterdam,” comments Rose Damen, Amels and Damen Managing Director. “This has been a milestone year as we celebrate 100 years since Amels was established in 1918. Today we’re a new generation, building the very best yachts for our clients to enjoy life on the oceans.”

The 57.7-metre Limited Editions yacht is the first delivered from the Amels 188 design and is the world’s first Tier III compliant new-build. Featuring Amels' own hybrid switchboard and waste heat recovery systems, Volpini 2 aims to reduce the harmful NOX emissions in their engine exhaust gases by approximately 70% and help protect the world’s oceans.

That’s what ‘love our oceans’ means to us,” said Rose Damen.
SuperYacht Times has incorporated the loving our ocean theme into the evening’s entertainment - all of which has yet to be revealed. The special event will bring together key players in the industry to not only celebrate an intense and successful period of international yacht shows, but also to raise awareness concerning the health of our oceans in collaboration with Amels. “Owning a superyacht is fun, we’re in the fun business, but we’ve all witnessed a growing awareness of the threat that ocean pollution is to the long-term sustainability of our industry,” adds Victor Caminada, Amels and Damen Marketing Director.

Even if luxury yachting is not a major cause, here in the Netherlands the yachting industry is really rising to the challenge – there’s a lot of positivity and innovation – so we’d like to celebrate the whole industry’s commitment to our oceans together.”
“We think the SuperYacht Times Party is the perfect venue for a ‘love our oceans’ celebration and Merijn and his team are planning a really stunning showstopper. If you love our oceans, don’t miss this party!”
