Charter Deal of the Week: Icon in the Seychelles

This week we look at the 67.5-metre Icon, currently available for charter with Bluewater in the Seychelles this winter.

The first superyacht to come from Icon Yachts is ready for charter this winter. The entire design of this sought-after 67.5m superyacht has been created in the Netherlands. Her interior, by Studio Linse has been designed to celebrate the personality of its host, with space to accommodate up to 12 guests in a stateroom configuration of one master, three double and two convertible twins. Redman Whiteley Dixon is responsible for her exterior, which includes an aluminium superstructure and steel hull. First delivered in 2009, Icon underwent an extensive refit in 2014 which included adding an extra 5-metres in length to the superyacht, all of which has been used to heighten the onboard experience.

Photo: BluewaterTo ensure maximum comfort throughout the voyage, Icon has been fitted with a modern stabilisation system to reduce roll motion either while she cruises at 13 knots or at anchor. Her twin MTU 12V4000 M71 diesel engines give her a range of 6,000 nautical miles and a maximum speed of 16 knots.

Boasting a number of fresh features after her refit, Icon has even more facilities both indoors and out, making her the perfect all-season charter yacht. Onboard, guests can enjoy the five-metre infinity swimming pool, four-person sauna, jacuzzi, hammam and dive store whilst cruising through the Seychelles this winter. Relaxing outdoors can be done in the large retractable beach club with multiple sun loungers or on the sundeck by the outdoor bar, all of which has access to an ice maker, television screen and state-of-the-art surround sound entertainment. 

Photo: BluewaterActivities on the water are a must, especially with the use of the superyacht’s exciting range of toys. With Jet Skis, paddleboards, kayaks and water-skis, time should be made for some watersports during the charter vacation. To venture out further, Icon is accompanied by a Long Island 26 tender, a 7.8-metre RIB X and a MOB 25hp beach drop tender.    

Photo: BluewaterIf spending time inside is preferred, guests will be able to enjoy the home cinema, large gym, sound and entertainment systems in every room. All indoor areas can be controlled via an iPod, including the lighting, curtains and air conditioning to ensure maximum comfort. With her elegant interior styling, neutral tones and warm lighting, the ambience onboard is created for those who want to relax in pure luxury.
