24m Circa Marine Mollymawk out on sea trials

The 24-metre Circa Marine expedition motor yacht, Mollymawk, has finished her second week of dockside commissioning and sea trials. Circa Marine plans to continue further tests over the coming weeks but announced that, “The preliminary data collected is looking very exciting, and the fuel burn numbers are really encouraging.” Mollymawk yacht launch at Circa MarineThe Circa 24-metre series of vessels are customisable with multiple cabin configurations, and Circa Marine are well underway on the construction of their second 24-metre hull, Deo Juvante, at their New Zealand based shipyard. Mollymawk, with a volume of 80 GT, features naval and exterior architecture by LOMOcean Design, whilst her interior is penned by Circa marine.Mollymawk yacht launch at Circa MarineFrom a technical perspective, Mollymawk is powered by twin Scania DI09070M 250hp diesel engines, reaching top speeds of 13 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots with a 5000 nautical mile range. As a designated explorer yacht, Mollymawk is constructed with a capacity to hold 13,600 litres of fuel and 7000 litres of fresh water for those long expedition journeys.
