CL Yachts’ 29.5-metre award-winning motor yacht CLX96 has reached a new milestone as it has been loaded onto a transport vessel for a transpacific voyage to the United States where it will undertake its sea trials. Notably, this is the builder’s first Sea Activity Vessel (SAV).
Photo: Lightseed StudioThe yacht CLX96 was recently loaded onto a transport vessel in Hong Kong, where she was built, and will pass through the Panama Canal enroute to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The explorer yacht was designed inside and out by the Milan-based designer Jozeph Forakis, who penned her with rugged, captivating exterior lines – which CL Yachts believes “will no doubt appeal to American sensibilities.” 
Photo: Lightseed StudioJozeph Forakis drew inspiration from the commercial sector; the yacht CLX96 sports a two-level deck house and inverted windshield, which will smooth passage through rough waters a lot easier than if she was drawn with a traditional raked windshield. Furthermore, this design allows for more tranquil passages through more temperate waters, as it helps keep the yacht’s interior cooler. 
The interior design of the CLX96 yacht is soothing and modern. Jozeph Forakis opted for a clean and minimalist styling, making great use of a soft muted colour palette. Guests onboard will benefit from large windows throughout the yacht, which offers plenty of light and outstanding views.
Photo: CL YachtsThe CLX96 yacht also brings alfresco space in spades; she has a large sundeck with ample space both forward and aft. Two more decks grace the stern – the main deck, which cascades to her extendable swim platform.

As many as eight guests can reside in the CLX96 yacht, across her four staterooms. Alongside three crew members. In terms of performance, this GRP explorer yacht can cruise at 22 knots and reach speeds of up to 25 knots at full load, thanks to twin CAT engines.
