CL Yachts have shared details of their first CLX96 SAV motor yacht which is currently under construction at their Hong-Kong based shipyard. Her construction began in late 2020 and she is now entering her final phase of construction before her launch in July 2021.Photo: CL YachtsThe CLX96 SAV features naval architecture by Alfaro Design and interior and exterior styling by Jozeph Forakis. The yacht has already received widespread recognition, having received numerous awards and shortlisted for International Yacht & Aviation Awards for her interior and exterior design. CL Yachts Director Martin Lo commented, “In order to be competitive in today’s market, you need to be daring and we believe that the CLX96 is a bold challenge of the status quo in its category.”

She features a two-level, reverse angled deckhouse to maximise space, whilst her vertical bow further amplifies space down below, as well as fuel-efficiency. Photo: CL YachtsDesigned to give an indoor-outdoor aesthetic, she features vast retractable windows and bi-folding doors on her flybridge, leading directly to her large al fresco dining space aft. CLX96 has multiple unique outdoor entertainment spaces, including the ‘Terrezza Portoghese’, a sunbathing area forward of her skylounge, ‘Piazza del Sole’ seating and sunbathing area on her foredeck, and an expansive stern beach club at the waterline with a hydraulically-submerging swim platform.Photo: CL YachtsPhoto: CL YachtsHer interior design is stylish yet discreet, focusing on simplicity instead of lavish additions. Her spacious, open-planned main deck hosts her saloon with a full service bar, multiple seating areas and a dining area. CLX96 will sleep up-to eight guests across her four staterooms with large windows and high ceilings for natural light. Her master suite will include a skylight whilst her VIP stateroom will have a virtual skylight, cleverly showing a feed from an on-deck camera to a display screen embedded above the VIP king-sized bed. She will be powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, enabling her to reach top speeds of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots.
With her construction reaching its final phases, CLX96 is expected to be launched in the coming months and make her first public appearance at Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2021.
