Istros arriving in MonacoPhoto: Malcolm John WoodBuilt in 1954 by Amsterdam Shipyard Ltd. G. de Vries Lentsch Jr. for the Greek shipping family Pappadakis, the 42-metre classic superyacht Istros was one of the largest motor yachts built in the Netherlands at the time. After failed attempts at restoring this superyacht, rebuild work finally got underway and following initial work carried out in Malta, the vessel’s bare hull arrived in the Netherlands in 2019 where Feadship will completely rebuild Istros with a new aluminium superstructure. She is expected to return to sea this summer season looking as good as ever. Here she is seen arriving in the port of Monaco in her heyday.
