Built and designed by Carl Gustav Pettersson in Stockholm, the steel boat was originally built for a famous Danish banker as one of the first twin-screw diesel yachts at the time. Her current owner acquired the vessel in 1980 who restored Lilian into a sea-going yacht once again by 1988. Today she is based in Twickenham on the Thames in England.
