The Le Breton Yachts SIG80 has been designed in collaboration with Van Peteghem Lauriot Prevost (VPLP) and Adam Voorhees Design to become the new benchmark for high performance cruising yachts, combining outstanding sailing ability with real luxury.
By using modern materials in the hulls, rig, hardware and joinery, Le Breton Yachts aim to create a yacht that will outperform anything currently on the market, while providing a huge saloon, 5 cabins, four heads and crew quarters for 3.
Slender hulls, long bows and centred weights offer an incredibly smooth motion through a seaway with limited pitching and deceleration due to wave action. Average cruising speeds well into the teens and peak speeds in the high twenties will enormously expand the yacht’s cruising range. With effortless acceleration and responsive steering, SIG80 will be a delight to sail.
She will feature a powerful core sail plan comprising a high aspect square-top fully-battened main and a self-tacking, roller furling jib, both with push-button hydraulic trim controls. These will be complemented by a multi-purpose furling reacher/VMG spinnaker for reaching and running, cross-sheeted to the windward cockpit winch. The innovative cockpit layout optimises ergonomics, safety, comfort and conviviality.
The accommodation layout presented is a 5-cabin concept but as SIG80 is a custom yacht, the accommodation can be tailored to the needs of the client.
