Burger Boat Company has shared more details on the 31.55-metre superyacht Northland. Delivered to her new owners last November, the expedition style yacht was designed with long-range cruising and fishing in mind, as she features a dedicated fishing cockpit. Her owner, an experienced fisher, requested a custom fishing cockpit, complete with a fighting chair and all the equipment needed for sports fishing. Featuring an exterior and interiors by Miami-based studio Luiz de Basto Design, the designer is said to have worked closely with Northland’s owners to develop his ideal adventure yacht. Her contemporary interiors include a ‘floating’ staircase in the main salon, a library forward on the main deck and a formal dining salon starboard of the library. Able to accommodate eight guests in four cabins, she features an upper-deck master suite which a private space overlooking looking the cockpit, together with two double rooms and a twin. Stand out features on board include plenty of storage space for two tenders on the foredeck, a jacuzzi on the upper deck and a large flybridge with a bar. Built to ABS standards, Northland is Burger’s largest steel-hulled and aluminium superstructure vessel to date. Northland is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 Acert diesel engines, giving her a maximum speed of 12.4 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
