May 28 2013 was a particularly exciting and important day for the Netherlands-based superyacht design company Diana Yacht Design, with the launch of their brand new motor yacht Heliad II. Built by Lynx Yachts, at Scheepswerf Made, under supervision of project manager Arjan Zutphen of AZ Scheepstechniek, this 33.4 metre vessel with steel hull and aluminium superstructure has an undeniable elegance in her lines and silhouette. A harmonious profile showing off her gentle curves, her well balanced proportions and a design respecting tradition and contemporary design, blend well to form a delicate superyacht, friendly and confident with plenty of personality.
Heliad II instantly charms with her elegance, traditional looks and spacious rooms. With regards to her interior, built by Dutch company Joiners, as well as exterior areas, she offers guests ample space and style for a highly comfortable and luxurious stay onboard. The voluminous owner's quarters and guest suites are spread across the main and lower deck areas. Heliad II offers sumptuous accommodation for a company of up to 12 guests, in a layout that is similar to most 45 metre superyachts. The large master suite occupies the fore main deck, while two doubles and two VIPs are situated on the aft lower deck. Designed by Weber Yacht Design, Heliad II offers a wonderfully bright, modern interior design with several light woods and ample natural light as key ingredients. This interior lightness is pleasantly surprising, specifically in combination with her traditional exterior look.
The main aft deck offers a spacious setting with great panoramic views, with several seating arrangements and large al fresco dining table at the guests' disposal. This area is perfect for ample elegant meals and hours of relaxing, with Heliad II's rounded stern setting a classic tone. Inside, the main saloon is large, cosy and light, consisting of a central lounge area and formal dining area fore, the latter easily handling a party of up to ten guests. The lounge's L-shaped sofas, combined with a set of modern chairs, offers comfort and style, in the vicinity of Heliad II's spacious aft deck. In short, a perfectly designed, stylish space with possibilities for a variety of social occasions, ranging from pleasantly intimate to grand and formal. The foredeck has an extra seating area, with a sofa offering that perfect intimate environment for private moments with panoramic framing.
Heliad II's large master suite offers a wonderfully spacious stateroom, big walk-in wardrobe and a generously sized en suite, all designed in a light, contemporary style that blends modern design with a luxurious finish. These quarters have a soothing ambiance, hospitable and friendly with plenty of character. A big en suite offers a large shower area, toilet and his and hers wash basins. The lower deck guests accommodations are all equally spacious and well appointed, with large staterooms, ample storage space and luxury en suites with large shower areas, all in Heliad II's soothing, modern style.
The bridge deck offers exterior areas fore and aft, designed with comfortable sofas, sun loungers and the fully equipped sky-lounge bar in close vicinity. Aft, there is a spacious deck with large sun pads and loungers, a great area to enjoy the shade or soak up some sun, while simply relaxing and relish Heliad II's luxurious hospitality. A perfectly panoramic cockpit fore is great for delightful breakfasts, afternoon cocktails and sunset lounging, with sofas and armchairs arranged around an oval table.
Upstairs, Heliad II's sun deck offers the perfect setting for sun, shade, al fresco meals and cocktail parties. With a spacious yet intimate ambiance, dramatic vistas, plus a circular table with large umbrella aft and sun loungers available at guests disposal, the sun deck is a perfectly designed area that, combined with the upper aft deck and sky lounge, forms a collection of spaces perfect for day to night entertaining and relaxing.
On the technical side, Heliad II is fully fitted with FEEBE equipment by PSI Feenstra, such as the Passerelle, Deck crane, Boarding ladder, Overhead crane, Tide ladder, Swim stair, Hydraulic systems, as well as Muir deck equipment.
