Swedish company Delta Powerboats latest superyacht is Delta 88, a 25.88 metre vessel part of a new line ranging from 7.92 metres to 26 metres. Lennart Alpstål, owner of the Delta factory, comments, “The task of building a boat of this size was a real challenge, and to succeed we had to start from the base. We had to re-build the factory and hire new skilled boat builders, technicians, and talented craftsmen in various skills to achieve a perfect result. The entire production is adapted for paying attention to environmental considerations. According to the designers, the concept was conceived as a purpose-built world cruise cruiser capable of supporting extended voyages while accommodating a range of owner lifestyles.A key feature of the project is the availability of three distinct configurations built on a common platform.The Fisherman version is focused on a generous open aft deck designed to accommodate a substantial tender and a selection of water toys, without needing a dedicated chase boat. In Zero Mode or also known as Silent Mode, M80 would operate fully on electric propulsion, delivering vibration-free navigation with zero local emissions for up to eight hours, which would enable access to environmentally protected areas.In Eco-Hybrid Mode, diesel generators operate at optimal efficiency while electric motors provide propulsion, reducing fuel consumption by an estimated 25 to 30 percent.
