Club Yachting Life Rally 2010: Day 3 Sailing to Port de Soller onboard S/Y Black Molly III

Events

Sunday morning of the Club Yachting Life Rally was at leisure, so guests had time to explore the small village of Sant Elm, relax on the beach, swim in the clear blue water, or just read a book while sunbathing on their yacht.

Broker Alexander Reinsch of dahm international, was our captain for the day on board Black Molly III, and with the help of his crew, and Renato Schweizer of Luxury Life Magazine, a keen sailor, raised the sailes and we set off at one pm.

Although there was little wind, it was still a great sight to watch 9 superyachts raising sails side-by-side. However by the time we sailed out of the bay, the wind had completely disappeared. This did not spoil the fun by any means, and the crew and team of dahm prepared a wonderful lunch. Crew and guest mingled on the aft deck and we enjoyed the meal whilst cruising along the Sierra de Tramuntana, which even made a 30 metre yacht look small with their impressive height.

Around 5.30 pm we entered the secluded bay of Port de Soller, which is marked by two lighthouses on either side of the bay. Sailing yachts Danubio III, Sunbeam, Inspiration, Passe Partout, Fidelitas and Black Molly II had already arrived in the Marina and Captain Alexander docked Black Molly III stern in row to the other yachts on Pier Tramuntana.

The evening programme started at 19:30 with a cocktail reception on the beach in front of the Agapanto terrace. Instead of taking the tender, we walked along the beautiful bay of Port de Soller to Playa d’En Rapic. After the cocktails all guests gathered on the terrace of the Agapanto restaurant where a delightful paella dinner was served. Another great day at sea ended with fantastic food and entertainment.
