CNB launch the CNB100 Chrisco

CNB recently launched the CNB100, the yard’s new flagship, designed by the internationally renowned Luca Brenta & C. Yacht Design naval architects. Wetzel Brown partners were chosen for the interior and the Bordeaux based yard was in charge of the construction process.

The CNB 100 is a modern superyacht, constructed out of a carbonfibre/balsa/vinylester hull, and 75 unique glass panels constitute the deckhouse. She is referred to by her builder as a technical achievement, fitted with hydraulics adjusted and controlled via satellite, honeycomb sandwich panels for the furniture to save weight, titanium pulpits and stanchions.

Luca Brenta & C. Yacht design commented “From our perspective, we have taken on this wonderful challenge and we have worked on the entire external design starting from the main concept that glass panels are typically flat. Thus we developed a blended continuous surface built up of several panels which, in our idea, must be seen as a completely separated object from the rest of the boat". As a result is that the coachroof seems to “grow” out from the hull. This effect has been achieved by carefully designing the glass/deck intersection, where the glass seems to disappear below decks.

As for the interior, beauty, lightness, comfort, flexibility and functionality are key criteria developed by close collaboration between the client, Wetzels Brown Partners and the whole team. The layout, materials, colours, lighting and audio-visual, tableware, bed linen and accessories are completely incorporated. As a result, many new elements are developed exclusively for CNB 100 including the dining chairs, the navigation seat and the shower room LED lightwalls.

Each guest cabin has the flexibility to be arranged as a private lounge with a deep sofa, or as a full double cabin. The entire area forward of the mast lobby forms the owner cabin with two double beds, an open plan dressing room and bathroom leading to a private spa.

Throughout the yacht, the hull form is clearly visible with lightweight interior joinery treated as separate elements to visually maximise the available space and reinforce the yacht feel.
