Nauta Design has just announced its latest concept, the 54-metre superyacht Nauta 54m Wide. Central to the design of the Nauta 54m Wide is the balance between a high volume yacht, coming in at 800 GT, and a sleek profile in order to moor in tight spaces, such as old ports in the Mediterranean.
Co-founder of Nauta Design in Milan, Mario Pedol, explains, “The basic concept behind the Nauta 54m Wide started with requests from clients who wanted plenty of room on board to accommodate a family in comfort, but not a yacht that was too big to moor in picturesque places like St Tropez or intimate bays in the Balearics.”
In order to accomplish this, Nauta Design widened the beam of the superyacht to 11-metres, where she derives her name from. The superyacht concept can accommodate her guests across six staterooms, with the option to transform one of the cabins into a gym and spa area. The master suite situated on the main deck forward, measures at 75 square metres and is complete with a private office and large walk-in closet.
The interior of the Nauta 54m Wide includes a spacious main saloon and dining area and is finished with glass sliding doors to either side. An intimate lounge area is found in her skylounge. From the main saloon, guests can access the aft deck, which features a double staircase and leads to the spacious beach club. The beach club is outfitted with Nauta’s patented system, ‘The Island’, which is a system of folding platforms which creates a spacious beach club and doubles as a garage for tenders and toys. The expansive beach club area has been made possible by the alternative placement of the superyacht’s engines and generators, which are located on the under-lower deck.
The Nauta 54m Wide features a large sundeck, which is complete with a hot tub to the bow, lounge chairs, al fresco dining and a barbecue.
The superyacht concept’s naval architecture has already been completed by Francesco Rogantin of design studio NAMES. The Nauta 54m Wide will be outfitted with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system.
