Salmakis Yachting in Turkey is currently overseeing the construction of a 50m motor sailer at the Neta Marine shipyard based in Bodrum. The project was initially started by the shipyard for an owner but has since been acquired by their partner company Salmakis Yachting who will oversee the remainder of the build.
The yacht is expected to be launched in the summer of 2017, and is being constructed according to RINA’s classification standards. Built with a steel hull and superstructure, the yacht’s overall length will eventually be 54m, which includes the 4m bowsprit. She will accommodate 12 guests across 6 guest cabins.
The schooner has been designed by the renowned Evan K. Marshall. Her timeless exterior blends the grace of a classic sailing yacht with the luxury and space found on a motor yacht. Her hull shape allows for generous guest accommodations on the lower deck.
A 40m project, named Alia, is also currently at the yard. Salamakis Yachting tells us that progress on this project has been sporadic and has, for the meantime, been put on hold.
