Inside, the interior design is to be finished in a sleek modern style in key areas such as the large open flybridge and a well-lit saloon.OceanEco 90 yacht by Alva Yachts exterior designPhoto: Alva YachtsThe Ocean Eco 90 features a beam of 14 metres to help support over 200-square-meters of solar panels which reach 40 kW at their peak. With a hull designed for green cruising to top speeds of 15-16 knots, she will be the first non-fossil fuel catamaran with transatlantic range and in the right conditions, she is set to cruise with limitless autonomy thanks to her solar panels' capability to store adequate energy to power the electric engines.OceanEco 90 yacht by Alva Yachts exterior designPhoto: Alva YachtsOceanEco 90 yacht by Alva Yachts exterior designPhoto: Alva YachtsThe power packages available for the new catamaran include a hybrid version with twin 250 kW electric drives and two 456 kW diesel engines to replace the conventional diesel generator, or a full-electric variant which uses twin 500 kW electric drives and a 360 kWh battery pack.
