Under the management of Yacht Marine Ltd, with naval architecture and design by Ginton Naval Architects and interior design of Guido de Groot Design, the construction of the 40 metre sloop Extreme is well underway at the Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay in Tuzla.
The hull of the vessel is built from steel with an aluminium superstructure and she is built to RINA commercial classification. One of the yacht's unique features is the huge transom door, that can open 90 degrees, creating a big swimming platform. There are two large garages on either side of the yacht, holding the yacht's jetski's, which when opened, double as additional bathing platforms. Other special features are the large flybridge, and a huge protected aft deck, perfect for al-fresco dining.
Inside, Dutch design Guido de Groot created a light and airy interior. Large windows allow lots of light to flow into the yacht's modern interior. She will accommodate 12 guests, in 6 staterooms, including two owner's staterooms.
SYT talked to the yacht's owner representative and project manager, Uri Rotshtain of Yacht Marine, about the project. Uri commented "We manage projects such as Extreme from A to Z. We have proven this unique way can deliver superyacht for 30% less than equivalent size and standards Yachts made directly by shipyards".
Uri continues "Yacht Marine will be participating in CNR EURASIA Boat Show Istanbul starting tomorrow, February 15 – 24, and I'll be happy to discuss the way we work with everyone who is interested".
Extreme is scheduled for delivery later in the year.
