Construction of Riva 122' Mythos well underway

15,000 Manhours in painting, 10,000 man-hours for carpentry work and 8,000 for electrical systems. This will go into Riva's new flagship, the 122' Mythos. The Riva 122’ Mythos, the largest aluminium planing yacht ever produced by the historic shipyard. Designed by Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design, the team which is in charge of the design of all the models of the Riva range, in close collaboration with AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre, and Centro Stile Ferretti Group, a skilful team of architects and designers.SOL Riva 122 Mythos yacht under constructionPhoto: Ferretti Group

All the main technical systems are already onboard: the engines, the gensets, the converters, the main electrical panel and the air conditioning compressor assembly have been installed, and all hydraulic and electrical connections are about to be made. On the lower deck, workers have completed space compartments and installed the ceilings in Canaletto walnut (the wood chosen by the Owner for the entire yacht) as well as part of the furniture.SOL Riva 122 Mythos yacht under constructionPhoto: Ferretti Group

The new flagship of Riva is more than 37 metre long and 7.60 metre wide. The planing aluminium hull gets to a peak speed of 27 knots, with a cruising speed of 25 knots, thanks to two MTU 12 V 4000 M 93L engines.Riva 122 Mythos yachtPhoto: Ferretti Group
