Initial sea trials of the Couach Hornet 1300 have confirmed her top speed to be over 50 knots. This high-speed, 13 metre tender, full of personality and technical innovation, will be shown at this week's Cannes Boat Show.
Yann Huort, the yard's seatrial captain commented: “For me, the Hornet is an excellent exercise for the shipyard. It’s a boat I know well because it conserves the behaviour and qualities of its “older brother”, the Plascoa 1300 FIC interceptor craft. After spending many hours testing these military interceptor craft in the worst possible navigation conditions, I can safely say that with the same carbon hull and identical mechanics, the shipyard has built an indestructible pleasure boat that can comfortably carry its passengers at high speeds with unrivalled safety levels on today’s market”.
