Countdown: SYC Palma one week to go

The STP marina and facility is filling up fast with most of the 2016 Superyacht Cup participants now moored in Palma in anticipation for the 20thedition of Europe’s oldest superyacht regatta come next week.

Racing action is scheduled to start on Thursday 23rdJune at 13:00 and runs until Saturday the 25th. Crews will be racing for the coveted Superyacht Cup which has been expertly ‘refitted’ this year by Pendennis with a new teak deck base breathing new life into this 20-year-old symbol of victory.

Taking place onWednesday 22nd June, the day ahead of the official race day, a fleet of up to eight classic sailing yachts will sail a course from the waters off Dique del Oest to Isle de Sech where they will finish off the harbour wall in front of the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria. The Big Class Day Sail as it is known will commence at approximately13:00.
