Custom Line 140: 42m flagship unveiled

Custom Line, one of the brands of the Ferretti Group, has unveiled its latest superyacht design, the 42.15-metre Custom Line 140. This yacht, which has a max beam of 8.57-metres, is the third Custom Line yacht to features exterior and interior styling by Francesco Paszkowski Design and interiors in collaboration with Margherita Casprini and the Custom Line Atelier.Custom Line 140 yacht exterior designInspired by residential architecture, the yacht features a fast displacement hull form with top speeds of 21.5-knots by twin MTU engines. At 400 GT she will be the largest yacht ever built by the brand. Her lines lend her a distinctly sporty aesthetic, with floor-to-ceiling windows on the main deck and open stern rails to give a feel of openness to the water.

The yacht has a three deck layout, with distinct areas for the guests and crew. Some top features of the yacht include a beach area to aft which can be furnished to the owners desires, with the tender launch happening on the port side of the hull, leaving the aft deck free for social and entertainment activities.

The main deck features a 30 square-metre lounge, with a full-beam owners suite to the fore. This stateroom features his and her bathrooms, a double walk-in wardrobe and full-beam bathroom with twin sinks. Owners will also have the option of a terrace. The upper deck, as well as offering a sky lounge with forward-to-aft glazing and both exterior and interior spaces, also contains the 18-square-metre bridge.

On the lower deck are four additional staterooms, three VIPs and a guest with twin beds. The crew area forward accommodates seven people in three double cabins, each with its own bathroom. The sun deck on Custom Line 140 is a panoramic deck containing a relaxation area with a hydro massage tub and freestanding furniture, and guests can be sheltered from the sun by a bimini top. The bow area is an outdoor lounge, preceded by a service corridor for the crew. As is traditional on Custom Line yachts, another garage forward can be used to stow a tender or jet ski.
