Purpose built by Damen in the Netherlands in 2014 as a luxury yacht support vessel for an experienced owner, 6711 GEO features support and exploration capabilities few other vessels in her class can offer. With a military-standard compression chamber and dive store and 275 square metres of exterior deck space filled with a variety of tenders and expedition craft including a Triton submersible, 6711 GEO is fully equipped for global exploration.
The vessel’s interior is completed to superyacht standard as designed by Mark Berryman together with Damen for overnight guests and up to 22 crew members. Fitted with four large MTU 16V 4000 M63L engines, 6711 GEO can reach a top speed of 21 knots and cruises at a comfortable 13.5 knots. A large helicopter landing platform at the stern can accommodate helicopters with D values up to 14.
At the time of publishing, the vessel is currently underway to Gibraltar.
