The latest addition to Damen’s growing fleet of Yacht Support Vessels has been delivered to its owner this month, known as support yacht B3. The project, which was closed in a deal during the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show, brought together Damen and the Burgess New Construction division who oversaw the build through to delivery.
Described as the ‘latest innovation in yachting’ by Burgess, B3 is said to be the first in a new breed of yachts with her groundbreaking approach. The owners worked closely with Damen on the interior and exterior design of the vessel to adapt the proven and trusted YS 5009 platform to be both functional and luxurious.
Built to cover long distances at speed, B3 offers a range of 5,000 nm and a top speed of 20 knots. The vessel’s obvious tender and toy-carrying capabilities are complemented by the vast outdoor entertainment spaces that its aft decks provide.
