The Damen superyachts Umm Alhoul and Garçon in Port Victoria
Photo: Luka BruntonSeen here side by side in Eden Island, Seychelles are the two Damen support yachts Umm Alhoul and Garçon. Umm Alhoul is Damen's latest off-road superyacht which was completed at its Nakilat facility in Qatar and built as a stand-alone luxury vessel designed for adventurous activities such as diving and ocean exploration. Pastrovich Studio is behind the interior and exterior design of the yacht which is based on Damen’s proven 70-metre YSV platform which she shares with her near sistership Garçon. Built in 2012, Garçon led the way for a whole fleet of similar shadow vessels used to provide additional capabilities to an owner’s mothership such as 6711 Geo and Intrepid. She is well known to be the support vessel for her larger mothership, Ace - the 87-metre Lürssen motor yacht - with which she explores the world's oceans.
