Damen Yachting lays keel of SeaXplorer 60 superyacht

The Dutch shipbuilders Damen Yachting has just announced that the keel of a SeaXplorer 60 superyacht has been laid at its facility in Antalya, Turkey. The yacht, which is due to be delivered in 2024, comes from the shipyards luxury expedition range. Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture has penned the exterior lines of the SeaXplorer 60 series, which have been designed for long-term autonomous cruising across the world's oceans. The vessel has an impressive internal capacity for provision storage, as well as an Ice Class hull for global exploration, meaning that no waters are out of bounds for the superyacht. Specially designed to be more efficient and with less damage to the environment once cruising, the yacht is fitted with a bespoke hybrid power propulsion system. The yachts interiors come from the boards of H2 Yacht Design and as many as 12 guests and 17 crew are accommodated onboard the yacht. The main aft deck has been designed as a transitional space, that can be transformed to suite unique functions, be it an alfresco dining and lounge space for Mediterranean cruising, a dive centre or even an alpine ski centre.
