Cantiere delle Marche has sold a Darwin 106 explorer yacht to an American owner, making her the first CdM vessel sold in the US. Due to be delivered in time for Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2021, the Darwin 106 will be based on the naval platform of the Darwin 102.
The experienced owner has worked closely with technical consultant and project manager Andrea Armas from Azure to create the interior design. In place of a sky lounge, the upper deck will host a panoramic stateroom with excellent sea views, while the country kitchen located in the main saloon will create a comfortable and informal atmosphere on board.
“As the market matures, customers get picky and the American owners definitely know what they want. This is why I am so proud of this contract,” commented Vasco Buonpensiere, the co-founder and sales and marketing director at CdM. “The owner of this Darwin 106 has a great deal of experience in yachting and is assisted by a highly experienced team. This means a lot to us. It is proof that we are doing our job properly, combining construction and technical qualities with style and elegance.”
With construction to begin shortly, CdM has commented that "in the wake of the first contract, a second one is on the final straight."
