The Maxi 1 class went first, however it was Dario Ferrari’s 75 foot Cannonball, racing in Maxi 2, that made the best of the shifts and, after a long leg out to left, tacked back on to port, crossing all of Maxi 1.“You needed to go left and then at a certain point the forecast had a big shift when you needed to go right.
