The Marine Equipment Trade Show (<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4374" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="METSTRADE (Company)">METSTRADE</a>) has announced the establishment of the Superyacht Content Board for 2024. Singapore Yachting Festival celebrates 25% growth in 2024

Next month, the first edition of SuperYacht Times’ <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/213" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit">Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit</a> takes place in Hong Kong. The event will take place on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 June 2024 in the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/7654/image/large-5d1a7e848d557a90ce52519625ff54a1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/7654">During the course of the two day event, the summit will cover topics focusing on the entire Asia-Pacific region, however Hong Kong is undoubtedly the location with the highest concentration of superyacht owners within the region. According to <a href="https://sytiq.superyachttimes.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">SYT iQ</a>, there are more than 75 yacht owners from Hong Kong with yachts over 30-metres, and as the city is home to 67 billionaires (Forbes 2024), it holds huge potential from the perspective of superyacht ownership.&nbsp;The most well known yacht owner from Hong Kong is undoubtedly the Hollywood movie star Jackie Chan, who owns the 46.48-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7052" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Rui Zi 460146.48m (152'6&quot;)Jinlong Mega Yacht2019">Rui Zi 4601</a>, although there are a number of other well known yachts in the region. A lavish, open-plan saloon with a bar and day galley are found inside, serving as a central social hub for those onboard to relax, chat, and take in picturesque panoramic views.&nbsp;When it comes to her accommodation, Archipelago 80’s staterooms are customisable, and their layout is contingent on her owner’s wishes, while the wheelhouse can be used as an adaptable entertainment space, featuring a bar and seating arrangement on its shaded balcony. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/311329/image/large-da1a7330b6004536c5d68ed4995d7726.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/311329">A standout aspect of Archipelago 80 is the presence of a vast working area, complete with tie-down points, found on her cockpit that can either be used to safely store expedition gear or superyacht toys. The Italian Sea Group has announced the sale of the first 40-metre Admiral Quaranta motor yacht, just a few months after unveiling the new series.

In their latest financial announcement, the Board of Directors of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/374" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sanlorenzo (Company)">Sanlorenzo</a>, led by Chairman and CEO Massimo Perotti, convened to examine and approve the periodic financial information as of 31 March 2024.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/250520/image/large-0a3fbeca280e8c3933c53ff570e0aa4f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/250520"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/374" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sanlorenzo (Company)">Sanlorenzo</a> kicked off 2024 on a strong note, demonstrating sound financial performance in the first quarter. Net Revenues from New Yachts reached €194.8 million, a 6% increase from the €183.7 million recorded in Q1 2023. Additionally, EBITDA rose to €34.1 million, up 9.5% from €31.2 million, while EBIT saw a 6.5% rise to €25.7 million.&nbsp;An in-depth analysis of the factors contributing to the growth in Net Revenues from New Yachts reveals that the Superyacht Division played a significant role, reporting €58.9 million, which represents a notable 27% increase compared to the same period last year. The Yacht Division also performed robustly, generating €114.8 million, albeit slightly below the previous year’s figures. Meanwhile, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5648" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Bluegame (Company)">Bluegame</a> continued its upward trajectory with revenues of €21.0 million, a 5.8% rise.&nbsp;Geographically, the APAC and MEA regions exhibited growth. In APAC, net revenues from new yachts surged by 30.2%, from €20.1 million in Q1 2023 to €26.2 million in Q1 2024. The MEA region also showed strong performance, with revenues increasing by 25%, from €13.9 million to €17.4 million. However, Europe and the Americas experienced modest growth, with Europe slightly increasing by 0.5% and the Americas by 2.8%.<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/374" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sanlorenzo (Company)">Sanlorenzo</a>’s order intake for Q1 2024 remained stable at €168.2 million, consistent with the €170 million recorded in the same period last year. The company’s backlog as of 31 March 2024 stood at approximately €1,209 billion, of which 88% is already sold to final clients.
