Dilbar, the world’s largest yacht, has made its way through the English Channel and across the North Sea this week for the first time since her maiden voyage in 2016 to reach Hamburg, Germany today where the vessel will be hauled out for refit and survey work at Lürssen’s facility. The scope of the works being carried out on the yacht and how long she will remain in Hamburg for is unknown. Launched at Lürssen five years ago in Bremen, Germany, Dilbar covers an immense 15,917 GT as part of her interior volume with dimensions measuring 156 metres in length, 23 metres across and drawing an incredible 6 metres below the waterline, making her the largest yacht in the world in terms of gross tonnage. Her iconic design is the work of Espen Øino and Winch Design is behind the 3,800 square metres of guest and owner’s spaces inside and is said to feature rare and exclusive materials.
