Ekka Yachts has announced the sale of hull 570 in the 25-metre Sanlorenzo SL82 motor yacht series.

Brokerage firm <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/526" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Northrop and Johnson (Company)">Northrop &amp; Johnson</a> has announced the appointment of Rebecca Cutter as Charter Manager. Rebecca, originally from England, brings over two decades of experience in the yachting industry to her new role. Rebecca will be based out of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/526" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Northrop and Johnson (Company)">N&amp;J</a>’s Antibes office.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/263552/image/large-efd17b872091b7ae39a1f7a3d2b08ca1.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/263552">Rebecca's career in the yachting industry began in1996 while living in Antibes, France. Prized as the “most extreme and advanced 80-HT yet” thanks to the client's specifications. The sold <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2612" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Otam (Company)">OTAM</a> yacht has an expected delivery in 2025.&nbsp;The owner, who is not just “an expert owner but also has experience as a captain,” supplied the Genoa-based shipyard with customised specifications, including expansive windows to envelope the boat with natural light and a “detailed list of technical and aesthetic requests.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/263522/image/large-77da9293d81bfb2529b9c143f8a9323d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/263522">The custom-built 80HT comprises a hull and deck, which will be laminated in full Kevlar, while the superstructure is constructed from carbon fibre. The result is an exceptionally strong and rigid structure, which is also lightweight for higher performance in terms of top speed and fuel consumption. Although the hull lines by Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design &amp; Services and the twin <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1409" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="MTU (Company)">MTU</a> 2,600 horsepower engines coupled to Arneson drives are unchanged, nearly everything else has been re-engineered according to the experienced owner-specific technical specifications giving her an impressive top speed of 48 knots.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/263521/image/large-19c50839e7cbb2383f2f7ee5612acbfc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/263521">“We’re always ready to introduce engineering and design modifications, but I can honestly say that this time we’re looking at the most extreme and advanced 80HT yet,” says Matteo Belardinelli, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2612" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Otam (Company)">OTAM</a> sales &amp; communication managerOther highlights of this innovative 80HT design include the increased side windows, which will provide additional ventilation and can be opened electronically.
