German yacht builder Drettmann is ready to present its new 24 metre DEY24 (Drettmann Explorer Yacht) motor yacht design to the yachting world at the Dusseldorf Boat Show in January next year. The yacht, developed together with Claudia and Albert Drettmann, offers a host of innovative technical features on board.
The 175-ton is fitted with a POD drive system that makes for considerably easier manoeuvring, enhanced fuel efficiency as well as a manageable use of space on board. “The new drive system is based on tried-and-tested technology, but this is the first time that it has been used in a yacht of this class anywhere in the world. This makes sailing much more fun, makes the vessel perfectly easy to steer, reduces maintenance and optimises energy utilisation,” says Claudia Drettmann.
Guest features on board include a spacious superyacht-like beach club fitted with a sauna and lounge area.
