As 2008 ended, Driscoll Boat Works said goodbye to its Concierge Kaitlynn Palmer and welcomed Jaime Kensinger to take over the position. Kaitlynn is currently working for Delta Marine after a move to Seattle, Washington. Though the staff enjoyed Kaitlynn’s time at Driscoll, they are looking forward to the ideas and innovations that Jaime will bring to the company.
A graduate of San Diego State University, Jaime just returned from a year in Las Vegas, Nevada where she ran a luxury car rental company. Her experience in marketing and public relations, as well as her love for San Diego made her an ideal candidate as Concierge for Driscoll Boat Works. “Though I enjoyed my time in Las Vegas,” says Jaime, “I couldn’t resist the lure of the weather, beach and amazing people that can be found in San Diego”.
In addition to assisting yachties acclimate to San Diego, Jaime plans to continue the Driscoll tradition of designing activities to bring together different yacht crews through lunches, parties, and other celebrations. Known for her creative thinking, Jaime successfully arranged the Driscoll Holiday Party by hiring a magician to entertain while guests dined from an authentic New York hot dog cart.
The need for a concierge arose after Driscoll Boat Works saw a sharp influx of mega and superyachts coming into its boat yard. “With these vessels staying weeks and sometimes months,” says Chuck Driscoll, Vice President, “it is our mission to make each crew’s stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We are confident that Jaime is the right person to make this possible.” Jaime can be contacted at [email protected].
