Following the acquisition of the historic 53 hectare western port area of Amsterdam in August 2021, Larendael has now unveiled its plans for the Dutch Superyacht Tech Campus. The plans reveal a campus that can host several superyachts, up to 200 metres in length, and will host facilities that are home to superyacht design, production, maintenance and refits at the site. In addition to hosting all stages of superyacht production, the campus will also feature space for education and training. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/210372/image/large-8e82679720bd7cca8c8138ff707e1f66.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/210372">The site will have direct access to the North Sea Canal and will feature a total of seven covered docks, four large docks up to 200 metres and three docks with a length of up to 155 metres. These dry docks will be used for refit and maintenance of existing superyachts, as well as for the construction of new build vessels. A lift will be available for yachts up to 80 metres, allowing maintenance efforts to be carried out on the hard, and there will be an expansive harbour with water depths up to 13 metres, with mooring for as many as 40 superyachts up to 200 metres in length.Wim Beelen, Creative Founder Larendael, commented, “With the development of the Dutch Superyacht Tech Campus, we are investing in the future of shipping in a place with a rich history; the location where the former leading shipyard, the Amsterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij (ADM), was active in the 18th and 19th century.”With innovation and sustainability as one of the leading focuses of the campus, Larendael has announced that, “Our Campus will provide a leading edge, open environment where students, professionals, and visitors alike can view and participate in the creation of these exquisite yachts. This space will also facilitate collaboration and innovation among yacht builders. There will also be a number of R&amp;D builders where students, visitors and professionals can create new, innovative and sustainable designs.&nbsp;
