The Monaco based shipyard Dynamiq Yachts has unveiled its GTT 160 concept: a 49.5-metre superyacht with exteriors from the drawing boards of Dobroserdov Design, which is offered to clients from a starting price of €19,900,000 and with a build time of 24 months.Photo: Dynamiq YachtsSergei Dobroserdov, Dynamiq founder and CEO explains, “In terms of naval architecture, we selected a slender hull with a long waterline that is much more efficient and comfortable than a short, wide one. So rather than maximising the interior volume, we analysed everything an owner wants or needs in terms of general arrangement and features. We then arrived at a concept that provides the motion comfort of a 55-metre yacht with a conventional flared bow.”Photo: Dynamiq YachtsThe upper deck of this design is equipped with a cinema lounge and bar with a sun deck that boasts a Japanese Teppanyaki grill at the helm. The aft of the main deck is designed to be used as a beach club of 120 square metres with a hot tub for 12 people and an enclosed spa area. Alongside the spa area is a hammam, and a convertible gymnasium of 40 square metres. The GTT 160 concept by Dynamiq is also equipped with a touch-and-go helipad and can host a 21-foot tender in the forward garage.Photo: Dynamiq YachtsThe Dynamiq GTT 160 concept is designed to accommodate 12 guests in six cabins, who can be taken care of by a crew of up to eight. Potential clients are also offered the option to have the interiors designed by Bentley Home. The master stateroom located on the main deck has two large side balconies with the other five cabins located on the lower deck. The galley on board the GTT 160 yacht features a breakfast bar suitable for use by both professional and amateur chefs. Other highlights on board the yacht include a cinema room with high-end audio by Bowers and Wilkins and a fireplace in the upper deck saloon.Photo: Dynamiq YachtsThe GTT 160 concept features onboard technology by Dynamiq’s long-term partners, Van Oossanen Naval Architects who have also designed the fast-displacement hull with an aft HullVane foil which decreases drag and improves fuel efficiency. The concept also comes with the options of Williams 625 and Castoldi 21' tenders.Photo: Dynamiq Yachts“The idea was to create the most attractive proposal for a superyacht of just under 50 metres,” Sergei Dobroserdov commented. “There are so many 50-metre yachts below 500GT available, but they all look very similar with pretty much the same functionality. We asked ourselves ‘What can we bring to the market that makes more sense for our clients?’ The answer was to focus on modern owners' priorities and leave the less important things aside. So we decided to design the GTT 160 with the accent on the key factors: well-being, efficiency and price.” he added.Photo: Dynamiq YachtsDynamiq’s GTT 160 is a configurator model with customisable layout configurations. The concept would be powered by MAN six-cylinder engines allowing it to reach a top speed of 17 knots. The concept allows scope for customisation: for clients keen on speed, the S version is powered by more powerful MAN V12-1800 engines to reach up to 23 knots, with owners also able to choose the optional hybrid system with a zero-emission electric mode which provides silent cruising at up to eight knots.
