To coincide with this week's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS 2020), Echo Yachts and MMYD announced a new, fully-customisable, 31-metre SP30 catamaran motor yacht design. 31m SP30 concept catamaran by Echo Yachts and MMYD

The catamaran concept showcases a collaboration between Australian custom superyacht builder Echo Yachts and Misha Merzliakov Yacht Design (MMYD).

In terms of arrangement and specification, the SP30 features a wide aft deck, with space for Jet Skis and a 6.4-metre tender. The concept has a hydraulic swim platform on centreline that doubles to facilitate launch and retrieval of the tender and provide guests with access to the water.31m SP30 catamaran by Echo Yachts and MMYD

The yacht also features four (or five) large guest cabins below deck, with a large master cabin forward on the main deck. It offers extensive interior and exterior arrangement flexibility owing to a superstructure beam of 10 metres.

With a GRT of less than 500 tonnes, the catamaran has twin-engine rooms, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a maximum speed of 20 knots. A build timeframe of 18 months is projected for this yacht.
